It’s hard to believe it, but Construction Simulator® is already on its fourth mobile entry. Launching back in May of this year, it introduced a wealth of new features, including a new setting, vehicles, gameplay, and more.

And now, you can try before you buy thanks to a ‘Lite’ version, which you can download for free. It lets you try the experience, and you can unlock the remainder with a single IAP at just $5.

That unlocks the full experience from the moment you purchase, so you don’t need to worry about having to start over.

But why make a new version when 2 and 3 are still so popular? Maik Flade, PR Manager at astragon, is quick to answer.

“With Construction Simulator® 4, we aim to offer players new content in a fresh and unique location, enhancing the experience and continuing to meet the community’s expectations.”

That unique location is Pinewood Bay, a fictional region that draws inspiration from Canada, of all places. It takes place on a sizable map – a first for the series – across three diverse areas.

There are new vehicles too, with the roster sitting at over 80. That’s 30 more than the previous entry, and all are fully-licensed as usual. Expect to get behind the highly-detailed cockpit of construction vehicles from the likes of MAN, WIRTGEN GROUP, and Bomag.

As Flade puts it: “Compared to its predecessor Construction Simulator® 4 offers an even broader range of features.

“The diverse fleet of vehicles provides the right equipment to tackle a variety of construction challenges.”

And now, you can fulfil all of your construction needs with the help of a friend thanks to the inclusion of co-operative multiplayer. “In Construction Simulator® 4, players can complete construction jobs together in cooperative multiplayer mode – for the first time in the history of the mobile series,” says Flade.

The mobile version includes a bunch of nifty features, which Flade is keen to point out: “In my opinion, the controls are one of the most important pillars of Construction Simulator ®.

“Combined with the first-person mode, the controls can provide a new level of realism and immersion.”

That includes “tilt controls or gamepad” support for those that aren’t a fan of touch. If you’re new to mobile games, or just the series, fear not. There’s a solid tutorial that will teach you the ropes for all of the construction missions.

According to Flade: “you will get access to dedicated tutorial missions for each and every machine type included in the game, which will teach you how a machine works step by step.”

If you’d like to check it out, you can do so for free by grabbing Construction Simulator® 4 Lite from the App Store or Google Play. If you like what you see, you can upgrade at any point for a mere $5 to carry on playing the full release with no loss of progress.
