Another Elden Ring Nightreign trailer has been released, this time giving an overview as to what the world of Nightreign actually looks like and what a typical run will entail, as well as the environment changes between each session. That last one can get quite wild, including the occasional erupting volcano and meteor strike.
The trailer, which you can watch yourself below, does a good job of showcasing all the distinct feautres at play. This includes new traversal mechanics, the process of finding new items and equipment, and challenging bosses you can take on. The trailer essentially acts as a comprehensive guide to how the game actually works, which will be handy for those jumping in for the first time when it launches.
There are some especially cool reveals worth noting, including unlockable skins of characters you’ll likely recognise from previous Souls games (shout out Solaire), as well as some hints towards narrative content included in Nightreign. Memories for each character, which can lead you to hidden objectives out in the world, allow you to learn more about each of the Nightfarers. Clearly something the big lore-hounds will love.
This trailer comes mere days after it was revealed that OG Elden Ring has sold over 30 million copies, placing the game among the upper echelon of industry success stories. Nightreign, a standalone spin-off from Elden Ring, is making use of that foundation to offer up a multiplayer-focused alternative to the typical From Software formula. From what we’ve played of it at previews, it’s damn fun too!
Elden Ring Nightreign is set to launch on May 30, so you’ve not got long to wait until you can play it yourself, without having to worry about the network going down like it did during the beta earlier this year. It should be a fun one, so grab two friends and give it a whirl.
