Will Eva Mendes Return to Acting? She Says…
The day has come for Daniel Day-Lewis to head back to the big screen.
After seven years away from acting, the Lincoln actor is set to star in the upcoming film Anemone, which also marks the directorial debut of his 26-year-old son Ronan Day-Lewis, whom he shares with wife Rebecca Miller.
Daniel and Ronan co-wrote the film together, which is being described as an exploration of “the intricate relationships between fathers, sons and brothers, and the dynamics of familial bonds.”
And the studio behind Anemone—which also stars Sean Bean, Samantha Morton, Samuel Bottomley and Safia Oakley-Green—is thrilled to have Daniel and Ronan on board.
“We could not be more excited to partner with a brilliant visual artist in Ronan Day-Lewis on his first feature film alongside Daniel Day-Lewis as his creative collaborator,” Focus Features chairman Peter Kujawski said in a statement. “They have written a truly exceptional script, and we look forward to bringing their shared vision to audiences alongside the team at Plan B.”
