As for Orlando, the 47-year-old couldn’t but gush over Katy, saying that while the world feel in love with Katy Perry, “I fell in love with her as Katherine Hudson.”
He added, “I know her as a mother, as a partner, who brings that same sense of love and joy to our family.”
Katy’s Video Vanguard Award is her sixth Moon Person, as she took home three statues in 2011: Video of the Year for “Firework,” and Best Collaboration and Best Special Effects for “E.T.,” which she shared with Kanye West.
She picked up another Moon Person in 2012 for Best Art Direction for “Wide Awake,” and one in 2014 for Best Female Video for “Dark Horse.”
