Right on schedule, Monster Hunter Wilds players everywhere received the game’s Title Update 1, the first major post-launch patch for Capcom’s 10 million seller. There’s been a lot of anticipation for this one, mainly because of the new content it brings rather than the bugs it fixes.

Unfortunately, right alongside all the new content, the patch also arrived with a set of known issues, including a very funny one that involves everyone’s favourite character from the game’s campaign, Nata.

After you’re done with the Monster Hunter Wilds campaign, Nata becomes an NPC that you’re meant to visit somewhat frequently. The game has several NPCs in each of its zones that you can trade with, and Nata acts as an intermediary who lets you trade with all of them without having to physically be where they are.

After downloading the patch, however, players noticed that talking to Nata can sometimes cause the game to crash. Capcom quickly confirmed that it’s aware of the issue, clarifying that it only happens when you select Sekka from his trade options.

Perhaps even more amusing than the bug itself is the solution. Capcom said players can simply wait a certain amount of time before trying again, or they can simply rest at the BBQ Menu. As amusing as that is, a bug is a bug, and so the developer promises to fix it at a later date.

This isn’t the only problem you might run into, however. Capcom updated its list of known issues as of the patch’s release earlier today. Some of them include not being able to search for one-star SOS Flare quests, and another causes display corruption when clearing widgets from the Hunter Profile.

A few other issues like a missing cutscene from the gallery, and an error in the Cosmetic DLC Pass’ text description have also been identified. You should obviously still download the patch if you want to continue playing with others, or if you want to fight the new monster – Mizutsune, check out the Grand Hub area, fight the challenging new Arch-Tempered monsters and more.

And, in case you missed it, now would be a really good time to catch up on the current batch of Event Quests in the game to earn unique rewards. Until then, be careful when you speak to Nata, and definitely don’t forget to bookmark our massive Monster Hunter Wilds guide.
