Monster Hunter Wilds is celebrating Spring with the Festival of Accord event, adding new cosmetics, a seasonal gathering hub, and way too much sushi

Heads up Monster Hunter Wilds players, a new limited-time event is coming tomorrow! Titled the “Festival of Accord: Blossomdance”, players will be able to hang around a fancy new gathering hub themed around the season, as well as earn themselves loads of exclusive prizes.

The festival is set to run starting tomorrow (April 22 for the US/April 23 for Europe) until May 6/7, you’ll be able to eat a ridiculously large plate of sushi, throw special pink cherry blossom explosive barrel down a track. and revel in the festivities with new NPCs. In addition, new cosmetics for the handler can be unlocked, alongside a boatload of new armour sets for your very own hunter. Well worth picking up, if you’ve got the time.

If you’re looking for more of a challenge rather than a good time, Arch-Tempered Rey Dau will also be present during the festival. One assumes they’re not here to relax and take in the good vibes, so you’ll have to go out and hunt them down for sweet loot. On top of all that, something particularly interesting is that returning limited-events will be making a comeback too during the festival, so if you’re like me and missed some stuff, you may have a chance of sweeping all the exclusive loot all at once.

This is the first major limited time event that the game has seen since launch, and it looks like quite a substantial one. Sure, we’ve seen smaller hunt quests pop up, as well as the massive the mainline update which brought Zoh Shia into the fold, but this one seems like a special one. So grab some friends and hop back in if you’ve fallen from the Monster Hunter train! It seems like a fun time to do so.

Are you excited for the Festival of Accord? Let us know below, as well as which of the new cosmetics you like the look of most.
